In yesterday’s post, 4 Benefits of Hosting a Guest Post Contest, I discussed the benefits I experienced when I held this blog’s first guest post contest in April.
Whether or not you’re interested in hosting a contest or just want to host more guest posts, you’ll still need to be prepared to contend with some of the drawbacks. Read more »
In the next to last semester before I graduated with my Masters, I took the weirdest, yet most thought-provoking course I’d ever taken. It was called “The Poetry of Labor” with a subtitle of “The labor of poetry.”
I had never been more confused in my life. I must tell you (and English majors all over the world may denounce me for this) I’m not the biggest poetry fan – at all. What I learned from Ms. Freeman of
The power of Asking
“If you ask shall you receive?” Is one of the memorable posts I remember first encountering on this site. This very persuasive post reminded me of the value of asking.

Everyday I was excited to discover a lower and lower numbers. Read more »

Yes, the roof of my house does resemble a rock and had been living under it for quite a while, thank you very much! Read more »
I’ve always been a visual learner. If you show me how to do something, I can often get it fairly quickly if I have an opportunity to immediately apply what I’ve learned. Blogging is no different – that’s why when I first started out, I sought out the high ranking blogs and tried to get a feel for how they did things.
I knew blogging was more than good design, I needed to know what it was that these bloggers did to stand out from the rest. Read more »
