So who runs this blog anyway?

I’m Kiesha Easley and I run this awesome blog.  However, I’ve opened this blog up to the WBB Team – a group of regular bloggers who share their expertise weekly and/or bi-weekly AND also some insightful guest bloggers – so you’re going to see lots of different faces and get lots of different perspectives on blogging.

But why should you listen to me?

I’ve been blogging for about 2 and half years now, in this relatively short span of time, I’ve learned a great deal about what works and what doesn’t.  I have been fortunate to discover the impact of networking and building community early on and found that even in the Christian Inspiration niche (where I first started blogging) – there are proven strategies that work.  I figured out how to get people to my blog and how to get them talking.

I started out by commenting on other blogs and eventually started guest posting which proved to have the greatest impact on my blogging career – in fact, it was a guest post that I wrote for FuelYourBlogging that got me here!  You’ll have to read Introducing Kiesha to get the full story on that one.  :)

I’m here to share what I’ve learned – everything I write is based on my experience both good and bad.  However, no matter how much knowledge I share, if you don’t put any of it into action, it won’t mean a thing.  I encourage you to take action today!  Start by subscribing to the newsletter if you haven’t already.

About Kiesha:

There’s so much to tell you, but in an attempt to keep from boring you until you want to gouge your eyes out, I’ll make this as brief as I can.

I’m currently a freelance writer, editor and blogging consultant.   I do consulting for local business owners who want help developing a web presence, I also ghostwrite both online and off.

I’ve taught English at both secondary and college levels.

I received both my Bachelors and Masters in English from the University of Toledo. While there, I was blessed enough to receive the Helen M. Fields Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement in the Field of English in 2007. My undergrad concentration was Creative Writing.  I recently finished a Christian non-fiction book and I’m in the process of looking for a publisher.

In the past, I’ve been an editor of my church newsletter and a part of the Mime Ministry (yes, white paint and robes), I know people find this creepy, but I actually love it!

I love traveling with my family. We’ve traveled all around the eastern US: Chicago (my fav), Detroit, Cleveland, Virginia Beach (another fav), Myrtle Beach, Daytona Beach, Orlando, Mississippi and wherever else in between. I eventually want to make it out west and see places such as LA, Vegas, and Phoenix. I’d like to go on a few mission trips to places like South Africa and Jamaica, maybe even Haiti. One day I’d like to tour in England, France, Mexico and China just because.

I love arts and crafts: sewing, painting, jewelry making, photography and scrap-booking.

I collect Barbies, Brats dolls and I love doll house miniatures.

Although this is the last bit of info I’m offering about myself, it’s actually the most important and what I’m most proud of:

I’ve been married for 18 years with three children.

Anyway, that is me. If you’re still reading I guess that means you still have both of your eyes and have chosen not to gouge them out in boredom. :) Thanks!
