SEO is a wonderful way to build your readership because you can get so many visitors from Google, but it’s hard work and it takes time.
You can spend hours working on your SEO and it means you have less time to concentrate on your content.
Everyone knows you should find the best tactic that brings you the most traffic and leave the others to one side, but there is an easy way to improve your results.
Choose your best SEO method and stick with it, but also write the greatest content in the world.
If you write great content that people love, they will do your SEO for you.
Obviously you still need to keep building links using your preferred method, but when it comes time to publishing work you should only be sharing content that people will love. That means they will link to your site, share your content on social media, and tell all their friends about you when they are offline who could then link to you. The only question is how you can produce content that is worthy of those results and we’re going to look at that now.
Big list posts
When you compile a list post you don’t just want to do the same as everyone else and give people worthless advice. This is not good for anyone and you can’t expect someone to share it. A great way of doing it is emailing all the powerful people in your niche and asking them the same question to share with your readers. Once you publish the article it will get more attention because all those powerful people will share it with their audience, plus people will take it more seriously because of who is featured.
Posts with infographics
Some people don’t want to read a huge article, but they are much more likely to read an infographic. It’s great that these end up getting shared so much because they are actually much harder to design than you think. You have to go away and dig deep so you can uncover lots of facts and statistics. That is before you put them all together inside a graphic that looks absolutely beautiful, or at least it should be if you want the shares.
Give people one piece of advice
If you want to teach something so someone can go away and see results it has to be focused. The big list posts give people advice, but it won’t change their life. With posts that focus on one specific thing it means people can go away and put your words into action. When they think of you as the person who gives them great results you can be sure they will share your post with others. They will also trust you so much that they believe everything you say.
An A-list interview
Have you ever interviewed anyone for your website yet? Try and get someone who has a big following because they will obviously be more of an authority and people will pay attention. When you interview them it can just be in a written question and answer format, but doing it on video will produce much better results. You can also put it up on YouTube and you will get traffic that way. The more people who end up listening to it, the more people will share it.
Be vulnerable
Too many people try to pretend they are a superhuman when it comes to writing an article. When you open up and tell someone where you went wrong it always gets great results. People want to know you are good at what you do, but they also want to feel like they can relate to you. Instead of being this indestructible authority in your niche you will be someone who isn’t much different to everyone else. People love this and will share it because they like you more.

There is some great advice here. The time you spend building backlinks on low quality sites is no longer worth your time. It is still important to have backlinks from quality authority sites in your niche. The best way to get these is to produce quality content, and associate yourself with the authorities in your niche. Get on their lists, comment on their articles, follow them on the social networks, and even mention them in your articles. You will get noticed, and if your content is worthy, they will share it for you.
Oh and I really like the Ajax plugin that provides the spell checking and expands the comment box. It makes it much easier to leave a comment. Would you mind sharing the name of the plugin please?
