Today, I’ve decided to spend some time returning the favor to all of you who have followed me on Twitter, Liked my fanpage, added me on G+, LinkedIn and anywhere else.
I really appreciate everyone who has ever retweeted a post and shared content from this blog with their audience. So today, I want to provide a platform where we can exchange social media profiles and spend some time connecting and following each other.

My blog is geared toward new providers and parents with children in daycare. It is meant to give explanations to parents from the child care provider’s point of view and vice versa. This year I started my first blog, main reason for it was that I wanted to improve my vocabulary and writing skills since English is not my first language, so writing a blog seems logical way to do it.

I just blew out all the pics on my 50 odd posts on the former because I deleted an album on my google plus profile. Now I have to go back and put up about 100 pictures with alt tags and all of those things that needs to be done. I’m sure there’s a silver lining in there somewhere, but right now all I can see is red. I am 57, taught college English for quite a while and currently work at a hotel. Mine is a long and complex story, far more long and complex than interesting. I have blogged off and on a while, in truth to gain an audience for a couple of e-books and a novel in progress. Recently, I began a new blog. I offer pieces of advice and things I’d like to share with my young grand and great-grand kids for their adulthood when the can appreciate advice. Now, with the oldest one 7, they appreciate fruit roll ups more than the sage wisdom of my years. I am not a social-media devotee. I think I have Twitter, LinkedIn and MySpace accounts, but no friends there. I don’t even know the addresses.

I have over 30 websites with blogs on each and Twitter and Facebook pages for them all. I have been blogging only about a year, but in this year I have managed to setup over 50 blogs for others and myself. The only blog I am promoting is Blogurp. It is a WordPress based free blog site. I am in this world for a greater good much more than myself, so, I am not promoting myself.
I made Blogurp so people who do not have much money can get their opinions and/or businesses online. Every thought that went into making Blogurp was thoughts based on my online experience and knowledge. I have had over 40,000 hits on my register page in the last 6 months and currently have only 840 members because most spammers get blocked and people generally do not know about Blogurp yet. There are no malicious scripts on Blogurp and when something does sneak in I take care of it immediately. I try my best to keep the site SEO friendly and I have a lot of options available, including letting users do rich HTML.
I am gonna check out everyone on here now :)

I started my blog out of the frustration of over-researching how to start my first blog. The Hobby Blogger is a “by the seat of my pants” blog about my first blog. It includes a lot of web design tutorials, especially if you’re using the Genesis theme framework.
