The sad thing is, I’ve found such stuff within several business profiles by which they only post links pointing out to other site without even telling or asking their fans or followers their own point of view about it. And of course, the more votes you get, the more interactive your presence there is and that would simply mean that you are doing good on your own line. Perhaps we could do out some polls by simply asking the fans which ones work best or maybe a question from the related industry and so on.

    One thing that always works is humor. Also, making sure that the interaction is two way; ask opinions, the readers always feel that their opinions matter and that they have a say and it makes them look forward to the updates!

      And humor. I think it is fun when a company mixes it up and asks for opinions in a funny way. For instance, an SEO blog asking what is their favorite ice cream flavor. Sometimes something like this has nothing to do with SEO but it breaks the ice and let’s people know you are human.
