How do you find niche keywords using Market Samurai Keyword research module?
Out of the eight modules of Market Samurai, Keyword research module is an important one. It helps you find keywords based on relevance, traffic aspect, competition perspective and commercial aspect. These four parameters are golden rules of keyword research. We shall check these parameters in detail.
Relevance
Finding relevant keywords as per your business architecture in the current context is important. This attribute is achieved through various features present in the module. You can perform keyword research on multiple keywords. Google Synonym Tool and Google Keyword Research tool help you find words closer to the words that you are searching.
Permutations and combinations can be performed on the keywords so that you can find the relevance in word order. By clicking on “Add negative keywords”the software will remove all the negative keywords. Using “Filter Phrase Length” you can filter out keywords that are less than 3 words. By using “Phrase to Broad Ratio”, you can remove phrases which are in the wrong order.
Traffic
After keywords are narrowed down in terms of relevancy, next step is finding niche keywords in traffic point of view. Obviously, this is an important parameter as without traffic to your site, you cannot generate money. The keywords narrowed down in relevance point of view are taken as the basis. These keywords will be analyzed to find which keywords will draw more traffic.
These keywords should qualify “acceptable amount of traffic” parameter. By using “Analyze keywords button”, you will be able to find traffic for the keyword on “per day” basis.
By using SEO Traffic (SEOT) results column, you can find the maximum number of search results that you may receive if you reach the Google’s number one slot.
Competition
Finding niche keywords in competition point of view is important. You need to defeat many websites if the competition is heavy. If keywords are highly competitive, it is difficult to attract sufficient traffic to your site even if keywords attract large number of searches per day. Market Samurai will help you find keyword competition by analyzing through “amount of competition” and “strength of competition”.
Amount of competition is calculated through SEO Competition, SEO Title Competition and SEO Title Competition Ratio columns. SEOC gives the number of websites that are using the same set of keywords in the same order (phrase) globally which are listed in Google Index. Those websites might have used the phrase anywhere in the content but not sure of being optimized on that phrase. This kind of competition can be defeated by strengthening SEO in your website, provided the competition is negligible.
SEOTC indicates the number of websites that are targeting the phrase as the phrase is present in these websites’ titles. SEOCTR is the ratio of SEOTC to SEOC. Higher the ratio means higher the competition for the said phrase.
Strength of competition is derived out of many factors like website’s age, page rank, index count, backlinks, etc. Based on these parameters, it will draw a matrix using red, green and orange colors. Green indicates negligible competition. Orange indicates medium competition and red indicates high competition.
Commercial aspect
Each keyword has a commercial value. Advertisers have to invest more based on the demand of the keyword. Google Monthly trends Information indicator will give you the commercial value of keywords month-wise. The demand may vary from month to month. You can find keywords which are not seasonal by analyzing in commercial point of view.

Market samurai can make things easy for those people who wanted to spot the best keywords for their post or site. But it can be very expensive because this is not a free tool available to everybody. Anyway, its features are reasonable enough for the price.
Competition and Relevance are two important things that a person must consider in finding the most profitable keywords. I’m seeing lots of people who are after of the most popular keyword even if it has high # of competitors. The reason behind is that they are after of a market share than getting the whole market. Whatever they think effect for them anyway, can always be reasonable.

These are the good features that you have posted about Market Samurai, I have experience Google Adward Keyword Tool but I have found some of its results are not in accordance with the tool information.Especially in case of plural keywords.

I have used Market Samurai for several months now and it definitely makes things easier for me. Sure there are other ways to do what it does, but none that are as convenient and have everything all in one place that I am aware of. For the 99 dollar price point it just makes so much sense. Just from a time cost standpoint it is a no brainer.

Karen I think that the trial version is for 30 days (not so sure). But the period is quite enough to help you play with all the stuff plus you get the how to videos as well. So figuring things out shouldn’t be a problem.

I gotta say I love MS. It is one of the only pieces of software that I would say is close to indespenssible. Much of what you find there you can find other places….BUT it is not arranged in the same manner, and you would have to pull it from different locations and just “hope” you really see the big picture. ON MS everything you need is right there in front of your eyes. By far one of most useful pieces of software out there.
