More businesses are embracing the power of blogging more than ever. Now companies are scurrying like mice trying fill the need. They are in desperate need of writers, social media strategists and bloggers who are willing to build an influential web presence.
Things are changing. Every day there are more and more blogging jobs opening up. New positions are being created. Blogging is no longer just an experiment; it’s serious business.
With that said, the unusual nature of the beast makes the blogging job search unlike any other. You won’t find anything of value in newspapers or popular job websites. No, you’ve got to dig.
Well thankfully, there are sites out there that have already grabbed shovels and have dug in and removed that top soil layer for you.
A few great blogging job boards to check out:
Famous Bloggers Job Board - NEW!!
So go on and start applying for those blogging dream jobs. Don’t forget to dust off those resumes and update them with all of your blogging and writing experiences. Separate yourself from the crowd by showing potential employers that you take this blogging thing seriously.
Good luck and much success to you!
So what sites have I missed? Please tell us about your favorite blogging job board in the comments. Post the link and tell us a little bit about the site.

Blogging is always a good thing to do online to build business, even if you have no idea on what to blog about. If you haven’t yet installed WordPress on your Los Angeles Website, College of Content recommends you doing so, and writing 1-3 unique blog posts daily. you’ll be surprised in six months time how much additional traffic comes your website, in addition to potential phone calls coming to your office in generating new leads from the Internet, just by blogging alone :-)

Hi Kiesha,
There is also a new job board at My Blog Guest, and there have been some pretty good opportunities on it already.
Also, you touched on sites that will pay you to write about them on your own blog– I wrote a post about this, with quite a few of those sites:http://writeandgetpaid.wordpress.com/2010/08/19/pay-per-post-and-sponsored-reviews/
Hope that helps

Hey Keisha,
I love the idea of job boards on blogging sites because I think it’s a really direct way to help others. With the economy the way it is we all need more ways to find jobs.
At the risk of plugging myself (I wouldn’t normally, but I saw you ask for more job board links at the end of your post), I also run a job board on my blog if you wish to add it to your list.

I have never given it a thought as I need to work way more on my English and my writing, but I do have some friends that could really benefit from this list.
So in their and my name – thank you.
I am amazed at so many great ideas you have here, great posts with interesting headlines and always new lists, each better than the previous one.
I would also like to add one more place to this list. You can find a lot of blogging jobs on Craiglist, although personally I have not tried any of those so I don’t know how good they are.
Brankica recently posted..USA shopping for Europeans

Hi Brankica!
You’re right about Craigslist – there are good jobs there, however, you have to be careful, some of those listings are scams meant to get your personal information. Avoid any emails you receive as a result that ask for credit information or social security numbers.
Twitter: collegeocontent
says:
Kiesha,
this is very true about craigslist. College of content is also against people opening e-mails from people that they don’t know, and ignoring people whose Internet listings sound too good to be true. They may be potential scams, like you said, meant to get your personal information. Why don’t you write a blog post soon and talk about it :-)

Thanks for the great list! What would you say the current going rate is for a 500-700 blog post? Is per post compensation more common that paying per hour?
Thanks!
Hi Lauren,
It really depends on the site that you’re blogging for and how established and popular they are. The rates are usually between $8 to as much as $35 per post. You can find blog jobs that pay up to $100 per post but these are rare.
Yes per post is more popular than per hour or per word.

Hi Lauren,
Thanks for stopping by! Some jobs will pay you by the post – anywhere from $5 and up – it really all depends on the hiring company and your skills. There are also sites that will pay you to write reviews on your own blog. Try SponsoredReviews: http://www.sponsoredreviews.com/?aid=90020
Thanks for the info. Before, I only knew about famous blogger and problogger board job.

I haven’t checked Robyn’s since he is also very seldom updating his blog, i hope he is fine though.
