Where do you find great one-way dofollow links?
I’ve created a list below of 10 great dofollow resources that are suitable for bloggers. All carry high page rank and get a lot of traffic, so not only will your links get counted and credited quickly, but you are likely to get some new visitors from them as well.
As with all link building strategies and efforts, there’s no way to sugar coat it so I’ll just suggest it plainly: do not litter. :) The sites don’t exist for you to walk by and drop your link just to take up space. Remember that blogging karma is real so you will get what you give. Choose the resources you like, so you can be a giver and not just a taker.
#1 v7n Webmaster Forum
I love the community at v7n. All of the moderators are super-smart, and if you introduce yourself, you’re sure to get a handful of really welcoming responses. Although I’ve just recently joined, the community’s been around for a long time and you will learn a LOT there.
Perks: You can hook up your RSS feed to your profile so that your latest blog post is linked to your forum posts and replies. You are also allowed two anchor text links in your signature.
#2 RedGage
RedGage is a great community of people of all interests and motives. You are welcome to submit entire blog posts there, or just the link with a little description, as well as photos, documents, and videos. You may also add as many links (all dofollow) that you want to your profile.
Perks: Money. When you submit content in whatever form – photos, blog posts, links (social bookmarks), documents, or videos, you’re compensated. It’s not much – you’re paid by the impression – but it’s still over and above the fact that it’s dofollow. I won $25 the first week I joined just by linking to RedGage and entering the daily drawing.
#3 Snipsly
Snipsly is an up and coming site. It’s PR is lower than the rest, but I’m including it here because it gets tons of visitors daily, is dofollow, and very easy to use. Creating an account there is fast and free and within minutes you can start blogging. It’s a WordPress-powered, multi-author blog. You may add content and links of almost any kind, but they do provide a list of their most popular posts so that you can get a feel for what might work best there.
Perks: Money. Like RedGage, above and beyond the fact that Snipsly is dofollow, they also compensate you by splitting their Adsense revenue with you. You do not need an Adsense account to get compensated there.
#4 HubPages
HubPages is one of my favorite places to write. HubPages is an active community of writers, and you’ll do well there if you learn how to participate in forum discussions, comment on other HubPages, and link freely to other places within the site. You are allowed to include anchor text links in your profile, as well as any hub you create. The links are not dofollow by default. They become dofollow once you, as a Hubber, earn a score of 76. You are scored based on traffic, ratings by other hubbers, and overall hub quality.
Perks: More money. :) If you have an Adsense account, Amazon Associates account, or eBay affiliate account, HubPages will do a revenue-share with you. Depending on the context of your hub, it can be lucrative, and it’s a way to make money from Adsense without putting it on your blog if you’re uncomfortable with that.
#5 Amplify
Amplify is like a micro-blog but with social bookmarking and content syndication all in one. You get a subdomain there that can be labeled anything you want, and you add content to it by either clipping it (basically copying/pasting), adding a link/bookmark, or writing from scratch. People can add you as a source and follow you, which makes it a bit more interactive and social.
Perks: The content syndication is a perk. You can share what you put on Amplify with other sites like Posterous and Tumblr automatically. Communication with other Amplify users is another perk – you might just get some new readers there! The only downside is that usually the links you publish go back to Amplify instead of to your original source.
#6 EzineArticles
I’m pretty sure that everyone has heard of EzineArticles.com but many do not realize the significance of its authority, or the fact that it is dofollow. Every month or so, I write an article and submit it to EzineArticles. It’s a bit of extra work, but it’s worth it in my opinion as the articles are yet another source of traffic and authority.
When using the author resource box at EzineArticles, maximize the benefits of it by adding not one but two unique anchor text links – one to your blog’s main URL, and another to a specific post or page.
#7 Squidoo
Squidoo is a similar site to HubPages; true success there relies mostly on how active you are within the Squidoo community. However, even if you aren’t very active, you can still create a lens of great quality and get some dofollow back links.
Try creating a Squidoo lens for your blog or a general lens based on something specific related to your blog. Add images, lots of relevant information, and then add your blog’s RSS feed.
#8 Technorati
Technorati is a high-quality site with a lot of traffic. Additionally, back links from Technorati get credited very quickly. You can create a profile for your blog and then add your blog’s RSS feed. It takes a day or two to get approved, but you can add as many blogs as you’d like.
Perks: Visibility. If you find yourself climbing in authority there quickly, you will be rewarded by being placed one or more of their coveted top 100 lists (they have one for each main category). Authority is increased as other blogs link to yours – so keep up your guest blogging efforts and keep writing quality content, and you just might get there! My blog climbed 300 points in just a matter of weeks so you really never know when it could pay off big time.
#9 Viddler
YouTube is an awesome place to publish videos, but it’s not the only one, and it’s not dofollow! There are many, many other video sharing sites that are, though. One such site is Viddler.com. When you create a profile, you may include a link to your website. You may also include a link in your video description. Both are dofollow links.
#10 Gather
I haven’t used Gather.com personally yet, but it is a dofollow site much like Squidoo and HubPages, and its users tend to rave about it. You can publish content there and may link out freely, but the real benefit is in having people visit your pages and like what you publish (with the resulting perk being traffic and greater authority).
Whatever you do, make it count!
Some of the sites listed above are great places to meet new friends and other ones are really good for getting the word out about your blog. Whatever effort you make, though, make it count. And, if you really like a site, link back to them at some point as a favor. That’s how they have come to have the authority and traffic that they do, so it only benefits you to help increase their visibility.
If you decide to join any of the above sites, look out for me, because I’m there and will connect with you!
If you have tips on using any of the above resources successfully, let us know. As always, if you have any questions, leave a reply and we’ll help you out.

If you need to have an very working list of dofollow resources, you need to generate this list yourself because most lists offered online are no follow, although there you can meet some do follow resources. As for me, I check every weblog or forum by hand.

Hi all, I have been reading the comments on this site and they are very interesting and useful indeed. I have especially enjoyed reading Tia’s comments, keep up the good work! James
Great post, I didn’t know about the second one.. Another good webmaster forum is forums.digitalpoint.com, they allow dofollow in signatures.
Cheers!
Excellent info, that was really one of the main problems I have but unfortunately many dofollow blogs doesn’t use the top commenter plugin, you guys are doing a great service and hope you will develop this more.
I think dofollow blog comments improve ranking a lot because pr of the page transfer to the site.
Nice overview.
I use some of them and the main disadvantage seems to be that I became somewhat addicted to these sites themselves ;-)

I didn’t know that Viddler was a dofollow site. And as an added bonus, I checked my list of oEmbed video providers supported by WordPress (http://www.thewanderingbrit.com/how-to-embed-youtube-videos-in-your-wordpress-post/) and it was on there! So I think I may have to seriously consider switching to Viddler.

I have used EzineArticles the most compared to the others in the list. I have dabbled in Squidoo and HubPages a few times, but nothing too serious. I also have my blogs added to Technorati.
Right now I am focusing on commenting as I have been lacking in the area quite a bit.

Great list. Thanks for sharing your view on hubpages. Hubs are essentially articles on virtually anything. Users can write articles about anything they are knowledgeable about, have an interest in or perhaps even want to promote, such as internet home based businesses links to other content sites.
This is a list of 10 sites that I found very impressive. I Think the building backlink of CommentLuv and KeywordLuv and appreciate what they do for my blogging. Are you saying that DoFollow is an improvement over them or is it an add-on?You will find sites related to juice that use commentLuv. Read the posts and leave a great comment. Now you have two great links, one to your home page and one deep into your site using the title of the page, which is almost perfect SEO. thanks.

No, these are in addition to commenting. Commenting with CommentLuv will always be my #1 way of getting back links. I’m incredibly talkative so commenting is a totally natural fit.

Totally agree re: karma. In my opinion, if you can’t make it a semi-regular thing then don’t do it at all (as in, sign up and leave links). Better to contribute wholly so that the sites continue to grow. It benefits us in the end.
Viddler sounds like a good one, I was looking for an alternative to youtube even better that is a dofollow “bonus” . Thanks for the list!

I have been using #4, 5, 6 and 7 as part of my link building campaign and also to meet new and interesting people, like Amplify. It is probably one of my favorites as it connects you to other people with the same interest as you while providing backlinks to just about any site you wish. Their autopost feature also comes in very handy.
The other sites on your list are all new to me and I will have to head over there and see what they offer. I really do not want to “overdo” anything, but nonetheless should be interesting.
BTW, what do you think of Posterous?
DiTesco recently posted..VigLink – The Universal Affiliate Program
Hi DiTesco,
I like Amplify as well! I just discovered yesterday that I hadn’t been maximizing the sidebar. You can add links, content, etc. Very useful. And I have connected with people there that I haven’t connected with on Twitter, so I find that really cool.
I can’t seem to find a way to jive with Posterous. I auto-post there, but I find the site really difficult to navigate, so I try not to spend too much time there. What do you think about it?
From your list I only use ezine and technorati, so thank you, I’ll give the rest a try. It can’t hurt.
Yes, do! It can’t hurt. You should check them all out and then just continue with the ones you’re comfortable with.
