Although article marketing via ezine submission is not my favorite mode, I’ve come to realize that there are people who still rely on the traffic and exposure that comes from sites like ezinearticles.com and others.
I no longer submit to ezines because it can be a time consuming activity, but when I first started blogging, I recall that I did have a few posts that performed well. So I’ve decided to share what I did to get the best results in today’s T.I.P. Team post over at TheInfoPreneur.
I still stand by the opinion that guest posting on a well-trafficked site is more effective, but if you still prefer article marketing, check out the tip I offer in:
Article Marketing that’s not a Total Waste of Time

It’s easy for those who want to promote their product using the article marketing. I think this kind of strategy will work. annuities rate

i always sumit to article directories to promote my website;**
article directories are very popular these days and i often submit new articles to them daily::~
article marketing is the best way to gain backlinks, you can post on ezinearticles for some linkjuice `
i always submit to article directories to gain backlinks, most of them are free anyway :
I think article marketing is pretty much dead. In the past you used to be able to get a few hundred visitors monthly from each article that you did good keyword research on but now you’re lucky to get a few trickling in monthly. I think websites are better off creating their own content and keeping it on their own site because from testing on numerous domains it doesn’t do anything for your SEO either.

Article directories are OK as long as you submit quality articles, and on a regular basis.
I still do it, although it isn’t something that it at the forefront of my efforts……it just takes too darn long……
I usually try to submit each blog post to 3-5 of the directories just so I can get that many additional deep links to assist the posts….
But it really is time consuming! ;)

Hi Kiesha, I tried Hub Pages without much success, so I gave up. After reading Kristie’s post in the FBCLcontest about article marketing I’m determined to give it another try. I’ll take a look at your post too. Thanks.

When I started my website, a friend of mine told me that I needed GOOD links and that submitting articles to article directories would be the right thing to do.
I got a lot of traffic out of it and so I can only recommend it. You gotta be careful that it’s a high ranked article directory though.

Being new to blogging and article writing, I submitted and published 8 articles to ezine in the past few weeks. While I see that there have been quite a few views the traffic to the site is not all that impressive. But I am sure I probably have a lot to do with it because I still do not understand all this back-linking and the million and one other ways the SEO’s work. I am trying to get the hang of it all, but this is like trying to learn a foreign language and I am still on the ABC’s of it.
Hey Kiesha,
Article marketing is a very powerful tool. If you know how to use it to your advantage. That is how I was able to get my blog that was only 6 months old to an Alexa ranking below 100k with daily traffic flowing to it.
The beauty is that you can create a lot of back links from article directories that have high page rankings and pass that authority to your blog.
Just submitting one article to one directory is not justifiable. It does require some discipline since you have to create multiple articles.
Article marketing only works if you work it!
Have a great weekend…

I am yet to see how effective Ezine article submissions really are, as I submitted my first two articles several days ago. The first got approved – waiting for the second. The good thing about Ezine is that the directory is dofollow and at least you get a backlink. I’m not counting that much on getting direct visitors.

When I started my blog I submitted some writings to EzineArticles, and even became an Expert Author with them (this isn’t very hard to do).
I saw very little traffic, but to be fair, I used the cut & paste technique from some of my existing blog posts for my submissions. I also did not stick with it very long as I started reading posts about how little of a difference it made unless you had already filled your blog with content.
I haven’t thought much about article submission as a source of marketing my blog since. EzineArticles did send me a nice coffee mug and some coffee to go with it. ;)
Come to think of it, where’d I put those. A cup of coffee sounds good.

I think guest posting is the way to go. I mostly guest post over at Famous Bloggers and I have a few more lined up with BlogGoDown. These two sites alone generate a good amount of traffic for me. I also think if you post a regulary to multi author sites such as Famous Bloggers and they offer you staff position and a static bio with site links on the about is even better. Since I joined Hesham’s team, I get even more traffic.

I’ve never received too much traffic from a single article, but if you keep it up and get hundreds or more, the traffic does come in. It does take a lot of work but every little bit helps.

Hi kiesha,
don’t be confused with my email, I actually have decided to change what to use from now on, due to some frustrating reasons, argh! LOL.
Anyway, I still do this and still believe in the power of article marketing/submission. It’s actually one of my most recommended SEO strategy and I know that it’s really effective. Not just with traffic, but it’s also very healthy for sites in terms of “super high quality backlinks”, given that they are in-content, topically relevant, and can be boosted in so many ways such as conversions to:
1. podcast
2. ebook (if compiled)
3. press release (if proper format is used)
4. slideshare
5. video marketing (combining clips and audios)
6. creation of rssmix and submitting them to rss directories.
7. and finally, getting picked up by other sites :)

Jason Acidre
