I like that it’s optional to promote a post. I’m not really a designer, so I guess this particular group isn’t really for me – but thanks for introducing me to the idea!

Does this really work? I means, often the word remains within the circle of bloggers. Outsiders could hardly smell your blog.

On the other hand, social media sites can work wonders, if you are lucky enough.

As the adage goes ‘Unity is strength’. During my initial days of blogging, I had a bunch of people with whom I had tied up to promote posts for the ‘social cause’ :) And it works to drive traffic and increasing visibility.

Hi Kiesha, thank you so much for promoting our group. Let everyone be assured that no one is obligated to promote the posts on there – if you don’t think the post is worthy of promotion, don’t do it!

But I think it gives some bloggers a little lift up the blog ladder. Especially worth considering the smaller sites like DZone or WebBlend on this group as well as the established big boys like Digg and SU.
