6% Bounce Rate: Is it possible? – Community Spotlight

Print Friendly

Higher Visits=Higher Popularity!!!!

Not Always Dude…

When I read Tushar’s post, I was astounded by his stat analytics. He has a bounce rate percentage of about 6% – can you imagine that?!

On top of that the average time visitors spend reading his content is 4 minutes and they are viewing an average of 4.4 pages per visit. Is that impressive or what?!

He posts regularly and I suspect that because his posts are short, but very potent, they are read quickly, leaving the reader thirsting for more.

In addition to great content, I’ve noticed Tushar all over the blogosphere – he interacts and engages with other bloggers. He is constantly working to build his blog.

His most recent accomplishment:

He took second place in the guest blogging contest, that I had the pleasure of sponsoring, over at Smartbloggerz.

Surely there is much to learn from this blogger, so I encourage you to hop over and take a look at:

    Hi,

My bounce rate is less than 10%, even sometimes is 4% or 5%, average time on site is between 18 – 20 minutes, my problem with the number of daily visitors 50 -60 visitors per day!

  2. My bounce rate used to be between 20% – 30% with minimal traffic. Now it’s between 50 – 60% with more traffic since I made my blog about android tablets my homepage. Traffic increased, but they leaving faster as well. Adsense earnings up, but other sales down. Tis ..Tis…working on it. Suggestions welcomed!

  3. I have a bounce rate of about 70% :( Actaully I was ranking good for some long tail keywords way back when I started my blog. The one day all my blog went totally down and all my posts disappeared and I could not find it. (No backups…poor me). I restarted again and still I have not been able to recover the bounces caused by the previous broken links. :’( The lesser the bounce rate, the more the conversion

Well, I’m on a 3% bounce rate. It has been such for 2 years now. I do not get huge traffic bursts but the whole thing holds on to this rate.

6% is really great, I’m jealous :) definitely good content articles has something to do with his bounce rate and also social marketing.

  6. My blog bounce rate is about 77%. I wish I had visitors that were interested in my blog like his.

This bouncing rate is amazing, but we also have to see in the picture, this bounce rate was taken from January-April 2010 and this blog get 1.249 visits.

I guess the more visits you have, the higher bounce rate you will get..

Mine from May-June 2010, 6,379 visits and 76% bouncing rate almost similar as Deepak, i know it is bad lol..

That’s higher than average, I think, but I wouldn’t flat out say that it’s bad. There could be other factors at work – it means that 70% of people are leaving your site without viewing any other pages – it doesn’t mean that they didn’t enjoy what they found. My bounce rate fluctuates between 59%-65%.

        Hey Kiesha,

Thanks for the reply, yes, i guess it is something for to work with, but i don’t know how to resolve this except just trying to improve my contents.

          Kimi,
Sounds like you’ve got it – writing quality content is the best thing you can do – but make sure you have a “related posts” plug-in installed so that it’s easier for people to see those other great posts that they might like. I use “Yet Another Related Plugin” or YARP.

    Nice!
I think that this would be very hard to do. Even if you do everything you can for lowering bounce rate, google will sometimes tank you for some longtail serches that are not relevant.
Maybe if you use only important keywords in the title so you do not rank for anything not relevant.
