Aside from Twitter, Facebook and BlogEnage, there are very few social networking sites you’ll see me getting excited about. Time constraints limit the amount of time I have to spend learning how to navigate every new site that pops up. In addition to that, there’s more to a social networking than simply joining a site, you have to take the time to authentically engage others – simply logging in and dropping a few links around the community won’t do.
But I’ve finally found a site where you can add your blog and if the editors like your posts, they’ll publish them and may even feature them. This opens your posts up to potentially thousands of views.
I didn’t realize the potential of this site until one day I noticed my traffic stats had shot up. I had lots of referrers from this site, so I had to go check it out and see what was up. I hadn’t realized they had published one of my articles until the following day.
As you can see the post got over 1400 views and 30+ retweets. This isn’t the only time this has happened. If you’ve been reading the guest post contest updates, you already know that several guest posters had their articles featured there as well via my account.
In addition to adding your blog, there are networking opportunities – you can add as much information to your profile as you’d like and you can browse the site and make connections with other members.
Joining the community is easy, simply sign up for an account, create your profile with a picture of yourself and then add your blog. While you’re there, be sure to connect with me.
If you have any problems joining, contact me and I’ll send you an invite.

kieshaeasley,
Thank you for the tip today. The social media outlook is crazy right now, and finding another site is always helpful.
Social blogging continues..
I’m not familiar with them but I will check them out. I may pick a few of my favorite blog articles and we’ll see what they like (or dislike).
I pretty much stick with the social media that you mention, but I will be doing beter.
Finding the time to do it is all is a big issue for me, but I’ working on that.
Thanks for sharing and I will check it out!

Thanks, I will check it out. Personally, I was just ranting about social networking sites.
A) There are too many (in my opinion).
B) Who has time to really “work” & “network” each site properly.
C) If I decided to dedicate my time to 1, which is the absolute best.
What happened to the people who just want to blog, have fun & let nature take its course. It seems those days are gone.
Have you noticed when people start spending more time networking the social networks to the point their writing, website and blog suffer, or take a backseat?
Lets see, am I supposed to Stumble, Digg, Delicious, Tweet, Buzz, Facebook, Myspace, Reddit, Google, Yahoo or YouTube? LOL
What’s a boy to do.

Hi Scott,
I feel the exact same way. I pretty much stick to Twitter and BlogEngage for the most part. But I like SocialMediaToday because I didn’t have to do anything other than post my blog’s feed. I check back for comments whenever I discover a post has published, but other than that, it’s a minimal time commitment.
WOOT! Can’t wait to check it out. I’m always seeking networks like this, and with a recommendation from you, it’s even better. I will certainly head over there.
Expanding “circles” is such an awesome way of getting new visibility and readers coming to your blog. Thanks very much for sharing.

Hi Kiesha,
I joined a little while ago, and it appears to be a pretty great community. I have not been as active as I’d like, but that will change in a couple of weeks.
Otherwise, I use nothing but Twitter, Blogengage, and MMO (which is new).
Thanks for sharing this!
Have a great day!

Hi Mark,
As I was telling Josh, that the great thing about the site is that you don’t have to be super active, just write great content that they’ll want to publish and then connect with others, especially those who take the time to comment.
Thanks for the link, Keisha. Will check it out.

Hey Kiesha,
This is cool that you are sharing another great resource of yours. I’ll have to check them out. I know not all Social Blogging Communities sites are worth the time. But I will look into this one.
Chat with you later…

Hi Josh,
You know, what’s great about this site, is that it’s not a time drainer – you add your blog once, and if they like a particular post on a given day, they publish it. If want to connect with others who comment, it just maximizes the networking effect. It’s not one of those gotta-go-everyday sites, but you might find you’re there checking out other great stories before you know it.
Have used them for a few mnths.. I havn’t had much luck with them. But still a great community.

Hi John!
I don’t really know exactly how they select which posts to publish, but I’ve noticed that my posts that have blogger(s) or blogging in the title, and social media topics generally get more exposure. Oh, yeah and of course, posts with numbers in the title get the biggest results.
Social Media Today? I have never heard it before. But according to your introduction above, I decide to have a try. Thanks!
