Blog better by measuring progress

Yesterday marked the end of my first 30 days here at WeBlogBetter!

So how did I do?

It’s been a real challenge trying to keep up and bring you the best content possible – but that’s a good thing. My goal is to continue to grow this blog, and with your help and continued participation, I just might do that.

It’s always a good idea to take a moment and reflect and measure success. In my opinion, any increase in the right direction is a marker of success.

I’ve seen some great responses to my posts and I’m excited about what the next 30 days will bring. Since I’ve been here, I’ve gained about 90 new subscribers – for some that might not be a huge number, but to me, it’s totally worth celebrating!

Over the last 30 days these were my most viewed posts:

5 Blogging Niche Ideas you should run from 187 views
How to Ensure your blog is never found 183 views
1 Tip that will help you blog better 122 views
Blog better by imitating a blogger who does it well 118 views
10 Blogger Must Reads 106 views
Blog More Efficiently with the Zemanta Google Chrome Plug-in 100 views

If you haven’t had a moment to read them, I encourage you to take a look and chime in and let me know what you think.

Looking ahead, I’m curious about your opinions and what you’d like to see from me in the future. Are there any things you think I could improve upon here? Are there any posts that have helped you blog better? Do you have any questions that haven’t been answered?

My desire is to offer the best blogging tips that I can, but sometimes I just need a little direction about what you need – so here’s your chance to chime and let me know what I’ve been neglecting.

P.S. Would you like to contribute? I’m always open to guest posts.

With that said, I bid you an awesome weekend and I encourage you to join me in observing National Day of Unplugging.

I like the “What not to do” posts. Are you looking for ideas on the writing side of blogging or also the business side? If you’re doing business side too I’d like to know about taxes, reviews, and approaching/handling pr and advertisers.

If you’re looking for the writing side of blogging. I know that SEO is important but how important is that when you’re at the adversing stage?

If you have a huge following even though your posts aren’t SEO friendly is that as good as someone that rocks at SEO?

I’d like to read a day in the life type of post. Time management is a problem I’m trying to work through.

Thanks Adrienne! This is very helpful. If these are the issues that are important to my readers, this is the information I’d like to be able to give them. So thanks tremendously for your input. I’ll get to work on these right away! :)
