A slice of the unexpected to take your blog to a new level
Inspired by today’s blog post Secret Blog Ingredient #3 and further encouraged by another great blogger, I’ve decided to make it official and invite all who are brave enough to enter.
In the spirit of one of my favorite Food Network shows, The Iron Chef , I’ll be giving you an unusual ingredient (a word or phrase) to work with. You’ll compose a blog post in which you somehow connect it to your blog niche. Read today’s post for ideas for using interesting similes, metaphors and analogies to add a slice of the unexpected in your writing.
The blogger with the best post will win the “Iron Blogger Award” and free Ad space until the end of the month. All contestants will receive a free backlink for participating, so it really is a win-win situation for everybody.

Kevin M.´s last blog ..7 steps to overcoming giants in our lives
Glad you’ve entered! Good luck! I’m excited to see what you come up with!
Now this is a creative post (and contest!). hmmm, how are oysters related to singles…let the games begin!
Lisa´s last blog ..Dating Wisely
Interesting challenge and im excited to see what people can create, unfortunately im not up to it – I just don’t think I can integrate that with my blog.
Anthony Feint´s last blog ..Is Your Business Becoming a Chore?
Are you kidding? :) That’s the beauty of a challenge. It seems impossible until you start letting the creative juices flow. Although I picked the word rather randomly and haphazardly, I can already think of ways an oyster can be related to lifestyle design and business.
I don’t want to give away any clues, but what’s the best thing about an oyster? :)
Interesting Kiesha, I never found a contest like this. I’m little busy with my blog’s target but I’ll try to create an article with “oyster” :)
This is really challenging and unusual contest for me. Great Idea Kiesha and Thanks!
Okay, I’m so excited. I’ve posted my entry to the contest. Here is the url:

Blog Angel a.k.a. Joella´s last blog ..How Being An Oyster Can Help Your Blog Succeed
Ugh…I want to enter but can’t think of a good way to relate it to my blog without using the oblivious.
I’ll keep thinking.
Adrienne´s last blog ..Which Diet Helps You Become Healthy?
Hi Adrienne,
Enter anyway, remember all contestants will receive at least a backlink. You’ll be posting the content on your own site and adding to your blogs value and you never know, maybe it’s only obvious to you…
Kiesha @ Highly Favored´s last blog ..Married but separate beds? Separate homes?
Love the challenge! Very cool idea.
Great challenge. I love the idea.

Rebecca´s last blog ..Nothing
This was great fun Kiesha! I had a vague memory of something to do with oysters in Cambridge where I live, work and blog. Sure enough – there was lots to say about oysters. Who would’ve thunk?!
