I’m a news feed nut, which is what led to my launching WeBlogBetter.com to begin with. I love passing along resources and wanted a good outlet for it, so a good feed reader really provides the fuel for this site. That’s why I’m really looking forward to Parse.ly. It seems… intuitive.
Who is Parse.ly for (or, for whom is Parse.ly? According to Parse.ly’s site is for anyone who reads the news. But it is especially necessary if you:
- Are frustrated with Google Alerts or other free tools.
- Need to stay up to date about companies, topics, people, sectors or ideas.
- Can’t keep on top of the growing number of information sources.
- Want to save time and money.
Quite frankly, I’ve never spent much time looking for any kind of trend-tracking system. Most services are keyword-based only, which seems to leave out news and content that happens to choose the wrong keywords (there’s a lesson in that for bloggers, by the way). Parse.ly looks appetizing to me, and I’m hopin’ for a beta invite. You should probably check it out too.
By the way, I discovered Parse.ly via a review on ReadWriteWeb.

Thanks for the heads up Brandon, I hope it lives up to its promise. I can’t tell you how many hours a week I waste on my RSS readers. *crosses fingers for beta invite*
I am pretty addicted to the new myself, I would gladly take an invite for this and run with it. Google Alerts has just been wasting my time lately, causing me to miss things here or there because of a keyword slip.
